Hi cmfinny1996, I have sent you a link to the lead tape which is in your country but you may be able to find a cheaper source now you know what to look for...The company I bought the dubbing from is no longer trading so a good sub would be Wapsi's SLF mixed with a natural fur like dyed rabbit or squirrel to? suit... You probably won't want to keep the beetles in a shoebox because they are usually cardboard and the beetles can climb up the side and get out.? Whatever you use, it needs to be plastic so the beetles can't climb the slick surface. Sometimes the pupa go to the top, but sometimes not. Just take a spoon and dig around, you'll find it. Good luck!

Are you sure they died? They don't move when they are pupa. Once in a while they wiggle, but they are pretty much dormant little aliens at this stage. Sometimes they die, but I don't throw them out until they are dried up and black. I hope you didn't toss them out yet, just in? case!

It is helpful, Davie. It reminds me I'm supposed to know more than I do about the bugs in my water. I'm slam up against the base of the east side of the Rocky Mountains... not flat, not mountain. Hi Davie. I'm in a flyfishing club in Ireland (Southeast), and for the winter months a group of us meet every Monday? evening to tie some flies. After a summer kick-sampling event we were amazed at how lifelike this pattern is when compared to caddis pupae found on one of our rivers. Hi target32123, The only places that I know which are worth fishing at this time of year where you would get a cast are the trout fisheries and are mostly outside Glasgow so you would have to? travel to them.I would put on at least? 30 to 50 yards of backing on the reel and a cast length about a foot less that the full length of the rod.It may be worth while asking at your nearest tackle shop to find our where you can fish as they should be able to help you more than me. Hi Stephen(stephenjapp), Here's a few flies I would recommend, (Wets) - March Brown, Greenwells, Partridge & Orange or Yellow, Waterhen Bloa, Teal & Black, (Dries) - March Brown, Greenwells, Dark? Olive winged and spider, (Nymphs) - Hare's Lug and Pheasant Tail,..There's a few different styles that you could tye the dries like a Comparadun, Klinkhamer, Parachute and F-Fly..I hope this is of some help to you...ATB Davie

Hi Thierry (81MrTJB), I do get a slight tackiness after using the pro torch but not near as much as with the old one, but I always put a fine coat of varnish? over it anyway just as I have done for years with old epoxy resins as they were much the same... All the best Davie
