What you're missing is the fact that it's a method, a systematical approach not a collection of good recommendations and suggestions. Forefoot is indeed nothing new, but landing on? ball of foot on bent knee under your GCM and moving with a certain cadence in a certain way - that's undeniably new.

I'm 280 lb and have always had trouble with shin splints. I'd get them after only 1/4 of a mile and they slowed me down so much I'd run a mile in 15 minutes. I started using this method and haven't had leg pain since. Not only am I faster, I can run for longer.? I can now run a mile in 8 minutes!

Im 40+ years old and after years of inactivity, decided to challenge myself by entering a sprint triathlon. I always hated running because of chronic shin splints and knee trouble. I've been using POSE method of running for a couple of months now and have been able to run 6+ miles non-stop and without any leg pain. I'm not running much faster yet, but I am able to run much farther and with less effort than before? .. oh yeah, And no more shin splints!

The question isn't which muscles are the "most" important. Rather, how is change of support most efficiently achieved. Which key position allows us to utilize our muscles in the most effective manner? That is the core of the Pose Method. Our muscles, without support, are useless for movement. people making argument that all pro's with world records run on forefoot use pose method aren't considering how fast they're actually running? even in marathons - if we average runners were to run that fast we'd certainly be using the forefoot because it's almost sprinting - that aside I am currently trying to use Pose method as I think it does have it's benefits

it's not a concept, per se, it's the way we all ran until "sport" running shoes were introduced in the 20th century. it's esentially the difference in running with toe striking as opposed to the heel strike method. it reduces the shock and strain on your legs knees and back, which leads to better efficiency and lower shock to your body. check out some vids on? the vibram5fingers page :)

I shoot with guys and, believe it or not, I often have them start with all the "girly" poses (without telling them? that, of course... god forbid they should not be 100% manly) and let them adjust from there in their own personal way. I either have them relax and let their weight (arms, shoulders, chest, or whatever is tensed and lifted) settle into a natural and relaxed position, or pose them in whatever I feel looks good on them. There's also a lot of trial and error.

I had always been professionally fitted for my running shoes, but the last time I got shoes I worked with a different guy. He put me in shoes specifically for over pronation and voila! I'm naturally pigeon toed, I've been trying to run for about a year now, I go and start slow yet still get shin splints every time. I've been working on my form constantly and for whatever reason I just can't run, even tried barefoot. Is there a chance my slight pigeon toed running is the? problem? Should I really focus on getting my feet pointed straight when I run? It feels VERY un-natural for me but if that's the problem I'm willing to try. I'm willing to try anything at this point.

It does make a lot of sense. Running barefoot you naturally avoid the heel strike because your heel hitting a hard surface would hurt like a mother. There are also the body mechanics of it since most will generally lock their extended leg for that heel landing which puts a lot of stress on your heel, knees, back and hips. By running with a forefoot (or even midfoot) strike, the joints are in a flexion state that allows them? to absorb more impact instead of your whole body taking a beating.

With all barefoot running it's a process which takes time and you have to allow your legs to build up muscle. So? in terms of pronation I would suggest running longer runs in your regular shoe and shorter runs with a Minimalist shoe at first until you can take it and don't use a five finger possible try a Saucony kavana which has more of a sole to take impact from hitting the ground its a slow process you can't just jump right into minimalist shoes which many fail to mention

Of course you wouldn't run exclusively on your forefoot.when people say you should have a forefoot strike, they do not intend for the runner to stay on the balls of their feet like? in sprinting. You land on the forefoot first and then the rest of the foot drops to the ground. This all happens within a very short amount of time. Also, I agree the heel to butt thing is exaggerated. Your hamstrings would get really over worked doing it like that.

Je crois que le rap c'est ce que tu dis. Et je trouve aussi que la voie de Joey Starr est? vraiment geniale et unique. Et je ne vois pas en quoi ca va a l'encontre de la compréhension, si on s'interresse on peut lire les paroles. Au final on finit par le décripter :) Je suis pas un grand amateur de rap, mais quand j'en ai envi, bah je reviens souvent sur ntm. la nostalgie et un grand respect pour ces mecs.

Bah non je défend un rap intelligent qui sait prendre du recul par rapport à lui et à la société. Ce n'est surement pas au travers d'individus comme Joey Starr ou Booba qu'il arrive à se sublimer. Insurgez vous contre moi si ca vous plait, mais je suis convaincu que le vrai rap est une expression poétique du malaise, de la décadence, des clivages sociaux qui sont une réalité quoi qu'on en dise. Et ce n'est surement? pas par le biais de textes inaudibles qu'on arrivera a sublimer cet art :)
