where i live, there's a wetland that drains into a ditch. every 3 - 5 weeks, the guys come along and digs out the dam the beavers build across the ditch. next day, there the dam is, good as new, and never reusing wood from the dam the township had to use a backhoe to remove. i was originally outraged - i mean, would it KILL the township to just leave it alone? then i realized that it's a symbiotic relationship: town guys get paid, the dam is constantly fresh and new!?

Next in line to Humans as far as being the most destructive things on this planet. I used to think they ( Beavers ) were cute until they cut down all of my 100++ year old Red Oak trees. There was a family of 4 on our lake and had to be? relocated when they blocked the stream that fed the lake, the water level dropped to a degree that killed enormous amounts of fish and devastated the turtle population which were already on the endangered list.

Nice video. Animals in the wild are fairly predictable. If you screw with them, they attack. Glad you didn't get hurt. When filming, don't forget that you are behind the camera. Also, remember that the camera is? not going to save you... you are there, part of whatever happens in nature. Don't become someone's tasty meal. ;0) I try and keep a safe distance between myself and my subjects if they are in the wild.

Love the little tune !! I too was a skydiver for over 25 years. But I never got to jump a Beaver or a Howard DGA 15. I did make quite a few out of the Norseman at Orange Mass, They wee hateful, slow damn things. We had a club memeber that was an air;lane collector, so? we got lots of jumps out of a Stinson Tri-Motor, and other neat stuff like AT-6s and old Beechs.
